We have put together a Fact Sheet, which details the main points covering the situation at Newlands Corner. It is complex so we felt it important to put as much information as possible in one place for everyone to read. Fact sheet latest update: 15th october 2018. The new version is linked below.
This will be updated regularly as situations change so do keep looking in for changes.

Thank you so much for this well composed fact sheet which brings clarity to a complex state of affairs. Particularly interested in the role of the Duke of Northumberland and Albury Estate.

Well done for taking the time to put all of the information in one place – good work. Does the Estate get 25% of the parking revenue before or after costs?

For those of us outside of the area (I’m in Camberley) there appears to be no relevant Guildford Borough Councillor or Parish Council to whom I can write. Is there an alternative or is it just a case of writing to as many organisations / people that apply to me?
Well done on all your efforts so far.

Stephen – Your question has been overlooked, so many apologies for that. As you might have heard, the application for play structures was withdrawn on 7 September, so it might not be worth putting pen to paper at the moment. That does not mean, of course, that you shouldn’t make your feelings known now, if you wish to. Certainly for any future applications, the following might help:
Guildford Borough Council – Richard Billington, Lead Councillor for Rural Economy, Countryside, Parks and Leisure richard.billington@guildford.gov.uk I believe Cllr Billington is sympathetic to the public’s opposition. However, there is little he can do at this stage as GBC will not become directly involved unless SCC goes ahead with proposals for a new building – which is a long way off yet as firm proposals have not been put forward yet and a budget has not even been agreed. The play structures and parking charge scheme are entirely down to SCC.
Albury Parish Council (very much against the proposals) – Council Clerk, Joanna Cadman Joanna@joannacadman.com
Surrey County Council – Cllr Goodman, Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport Decisions (and who has been trying to get the proposals implemented) mike.goodman@surreycc.gov.uk Don’t forgot your own Surrey County Councillor, of course, as Newlands Corner is a countywide and national natural haven, not just for people in the Guildford area.
Surrey Wildlife Trust – Chairman of the Trustee Board, Chris Wilkinson (SWT manages access to the site on behalf of SCC) info@surreywt.org.uk
Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (of which Newlands is a part) – Board Chairman, Councillor David Wright (who is a GBC councillor), david.wright@guildford.gov.uk The Surrey Hills AONB, very disappointingly, has been generally supportive of the SCC proposals.
I hope this all helps and, again, sorry for missing this.

Thanks for those details. I will see what I can do. It’s good to see a result in favour of protecting Newlands Corner.
